Gascoyne Peak Body Leadership Task Force Formed

Inovact Consulting is excited to welcome the inaugural members of the Leadership Task Force to establish a peak body for the primary producers of the Gascoyne region.

The four members are business people from the local horticulture, seafood and pastoral industries.

They include Alys McKeough, Carey Downs Station, Scott Razga, General Manager of Mareterram Fisheries, Paul Shain, Chair of Carnarvon Growers Association and Luke Skender, Operations Manager of Carnarvon Growers Association. For more information you can read their bios here.

Each member is committed to the formation of the regional peak body and brings valuable local industry knowledge, experience and networks from across the region’s horticulture, seafood and pastoral sectors.

The Task Force was formed to work with the Project Manager, identify options and create a draft recommended model for a Primary Industries Peak Body. It will work closely with Inovact Consulting in designing the peak body – to define its purpose, what it will do to add value for primary industry businesses and how it is best structured and funded.

Inovact Consulting’s experience is that local leadership in the design stage is fundamental to success for a peak body. It is a way to make sure that the structure and funding model developed is commercially relevant, can be sustainable in the long-term and is likely to add real value to primary producer businesses in the Gascoyne region.

The Task Force members are contributing their time and efforts to make the project a success and are committed to communicating progress regularly.

The first meeting of the Task Force will take place next week and it will complete its work within four months.
