About the Gascoyne Peak Body Project


During consultations for the economic development of the Gascoyne region, many primary industry representatives, members of Government and external stakeholders expressed the need for a single, dedicated peak industry body to represent the interests of the primary producers of the Gascoyne region.

The regional peak body will become the representative voice for the seafood, horticulture and pastoral industries. Critically the peak body will work to promote and protect the best interests of the region’s primary producers.

In developing the representative body there will be industry wide input, consultation, and communication along the way. We greatly value input from the community and primary industries of the Gascoyne region. 

The peak body project is not about installing a ready-made industry body. Rather we will seek to understand the needs of the industries and the value that a peak body may have to its members. In doing this the project seeks to be inclusive of all perspectives and to create a peak body which will have true and lasting value for the primary producers of the Gascoyne.

About the Project Manager 


The Carnarvon Grower's Association (CGA) appointed Inovact Consulting as the Project Manager for the Gascoyne Peak Body Project. 

Inovact Consulting is a Canberra based firm which specialises in shaping industry service bodies that are viable and valued by member businesses. 

Inovact has a strong record in helping primary industry businesses and organisations to innovate. A recent example was the establishment of a national peak body for the Australian seafood industry. More information about Seafood Industry Australia can be found here

In his role as Managing Director of Inovact, Brian Ramsay has many years’ experience creating and enabling major structural change within industry associations. Brian has worked widely throughout the Australian and international agribusiness sector, including establishing and acting as the Chief Executive of Australian Pork Ltd, a $20m integrated industry service company. 

The Inovact team includes Bridget Murray, who is the Project Consultant for the Gascoyne Peak Body Project. As well as project managing and reporting, Bridget is actively involved in coordinating communications for the life of the project.
